Our Mission
The COVID-19 crisis has put millions of woman-owned small businesses at risk. As government programs begin to run dry, female entrepreneurs who have historically faced difficulties securing equity capital and are less likely to have an established business banking relationship are left with few options.
The Washington Women Entrepreneurs COVID-19 Recovery Fund was created to provide emergency relief for women-owned small businesses. Our mission is to help save as many women-owned businesses as possible by providing emergency grants of up to $5,000 to female founders who are in desperate need of funds.
How it Works
Led by Luna Startup Labs, with the support of small business advocates from across the Greater Washington Area, the Washington Women Entrepreneurs COVID-19 Recovery Fund was created to help minimize the disruption many women business owners are experiencing due to the global pandemic.
If your woman-owned small business has been severely impacted by the coronavirus crisis, please complete the Washington Women Entrepreneurs COVID-19 Recovery Fund application to apply for immediate support in the form of grants up to $5,000.
What You Need to Know
The Washington Women Entrepreneurs COVID-19 Recovery Fund will award competitive grants of up to $5,000 to women-owned small businesses in the Greater Washington Area. The program is open to women-owned small businesses with annual revenues less than $3M and fewer than 30 employees. To complete the application you will need to provide your federal employee identification number (EIN) and be able to demonstrate that the COVID-19 pandemic is causing hardship for your business.
Apply for a Grant
The Washington Women Entrepreneurs COVID-19 Recovery Fund was created to provide immediate support in the form of competitive grants up to $5,000 for women-owned businesses in the Greater Washington area. Applications are open through May 15, 2020, and grants will be awarded on a rolling basis.
